Dave Arnold would like help retrieving radiators for the casting area. They are planning they next iron pour in January (hopefully). Would love feedback on dates in January.

Elections are being run by Anna and Sarah. 1 week open for nominations, then 1 week open for voting for President and Secretary. Then the At Large position is up next. Anna officially opens elections. Callie nominates Jon Drayna for secretary and Hannah seconds. Tim would like to nominate Bill Reid for Secretary and Geoff seconds. Geoff would like to nominate Tom G for president and Tom respectfully declines. Bryan would like to nominate Dan J for president and Maya seconds. Dave would like to nominate Kyle White for president and it is seconded (but I missed by whom). Kyle said he would think about it. Mike T would like to nominate Callie for president and Tim seconds. She will think about it. Good discussion about what the president does in the space (run meetings, one half of legal representation, lead) and how long the term is (1 year). Tim reminds us you don't have to have all the answers you just have to be a champion for the space and for making.

Always clamp sheet metal to the table of the drill press when drilling a hole in small pieces. Otherwise you are very likely to cut yourself badly. The drill bit will often grab on to the sheet metal and spin it into your fingers with great force if you're trying to hold it by hand.

It never hurts to offer an encouraging word to a fellow maker. For many folks their time at the Makerspace is the highlight of their day. Make it excellent.

You must always clean up around any and all machines you are using. It would be excellent if you would clean up around neighboring machines, too, if they need it.

Maya shared her project of modular prints. She arranges triangles in different ways to make different prints. By moving the triangles around and using different colors it creates many different by cohesive prints. Her pieces were inspired by quilt blocks. She has 4 of the prints available in the woodshop auction, they are all 1 of a kind.
