  • Ian (guest): made a wooden puzzle as a wedding gift
  • Hapto: made an epoxy, backlit cool thing
  • A member made pictures in plastic
  • John K: 3D printed Maker Space key chains as a fund raiser for the 3D printing area.
  • Jon D: made some deer soap
  • Kristi: made a flannel shirt with the Maker Space logo….as did Dan J

Upcoming events

  • Model Monday. Mondays at 7 pm, Norwich: Fusion 360 Computer Aided Design/CAM class with Carl S.
  • Most Tuesdays at 7:45 pm, Lenox: Stained glass training with Bill C and Tim E.
  • 1st and third Wednesdays of each month at 6-7 PM is NORWICH woodshop training. Must have completed Lenox training first.
  • Wednesdays at Norwich: Ceramics and Cerveza with Jeff M. Check website. Sign up for 3 weeks of classes. Limit 5 people.
  • The last Wed of the month is a fancy project night (for intermediate to advanced students)
  • Wednesdays at 5pm, Norwich: metal casting and mold building. Iron pour Jan. 13. Workshops start Dec. 17, see calendar.
  • Most Thursdays 6 pm. Steel Tigerlillies women's (she/her pronouns) led sculpture collective at Norwich. Making a disco light for Party/ Wood Powder Coating.
  • Thursdays at 6:00 - 8pm, Lenox: Woodshop Orientation Training (please respond to the message on the Members@ Email List to reserve a spot—there are 4 spots per week). See google groups.
  • Fridays at 6pm, Norwich: Open-Forge-Friday blacksmithing. Norwich. Beginner class this week.
  • Second and third Friday: Board game night.

New meeting format beginning 1/1

  • First Tuesday, Lenox,
  • Second Tue., Mini SID, 6-9 p.m., with making allowed. Dinner will be served after.
  • Third Tue., Norwich public meeting
  • Forth Tue., BOD meeting at 6
  • Fifth Tue., no meeting
  • LAST Weekend of month SID as usual, with food.

Special Events

  • SID on Sunday, January 7th; both buildings
  • January 18th: Corel and Cocktails at Lenox – 3rd Thursday of every month
  • Next Board meeting on Tuesday, January 23th at 6 PM at Norwich building.
  • Jan. 13, iron pour at 12 noon at Norwich; mold making begins ~9 AM

  • We need tour guides at the member meetings and people to present their current projects.

Helpful Hint

  • Set a reminder on your phone calendar for the day when your parking permit expires. That way you can avoid having your stuff impounded and save the facilities director from making a voodoo doll of you.

Safety Note

  • Make sure that you wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the project you are working on.

Rule and Regulation of the Week

  • The fire lanes are clearly marked and are there for a reason. Please keep them clear.
  • If you wish to expand an area's footprint you MUST bring a proposal to the BOD. Absorbing more space than you are allocated is not allowed. If you are unclear about your boundaries, ask the BOD.
