  • 30 Watt CO2 Laser (dated 2012)
  • 19mm dia / 50.6 mm Focal Length ZnSe Lens
  • Work Area: 32“ x 18”
  • No air assist
  • Has motorized z-axis control with auto-focus
    • This accessory is almost 6“ tall and reduces the workable Z-axis height, so if you need more room, temporarily remove it.

Current Status

  • The kerf using this laser is amazing!
  • Multiple black spots on Lens
    • No known adverse effects (yet)
    • We have replacements but will wait
  • Some of the alignment screws for Mirror #2 are stripped
  • Closing the top lid does not always align with magnetic safety switches
    • Panel flashes RED when not properly aligned
    • You must nudge the lid to the right to re-align
    • Panel flashes GREEN when properly aligned

  • Do not bump the machine while it is running, the magnetic safeties are sensitive and will kill the laser if it thinks the lid is open.
  • Please read about the ventilation system.
  • The Laser Cutter is expensive and dangerous. DO NOT leave it unattended. Things can start on fire.
  • Some jobs take a long time to run. If you need to run to the bathroom or something, find someone to watch it for you.
