  • Rick M, woodshop champion, requests access to review security video at both locations to enforce the rules of the wood shop.
    • Tony W will set up a separate computer; log ins will be tracked
    • BOD will need to review if recommendation is to suspend member or Wild Apricot is involved

  • Discussion of a possible warning to ZM for machine shop usage incorrectly.

  • Add a table across from Powder Coating at Norwich: Sarah D

  • Kinder Fridge Guidelines for consideration: Sarah D
    1. Name and Date indicating who and when it was placed. Any item with a date past 2 weeks in the fridge or freezer can be thrown out.
    2. Respect the property of others. Do NOT touch other people's properly labeled food (name and date).
    3. Alcohol cannot be stored in communal fridges per State Regulations.
    4. Anything without a name and date on it will be fair game for consumption by any member.
    5. Small items should be grouped together to prevent scattered and forgotten items and to use this space effectively.
    6. Recognize that the refrigerator is a shared resource and please keep no more than 3 meals in the fridge/freezer.
    7. Moldy, leaky, squishy, desiccated food may be tossed at any moment by any member. Any containers will also be tossed.
    8. In addition, items will be purged on SID (typically at the end of the month between 12-5pm) Please make sure the labels are current and visible on this date.

  • Stained glass taking over old screen printing
    • Stained glass area will need to keep their materials and projects on one labeled table.
    • To facilitate members having space on tables to work, the BOD suggests the following:
      • 5 tables in east room and 2 in the west room will be labeled as “General Use Tables” Rules will placed on each table (similar to Norwich). Project will be completed at SID (Dan J to lead)
      • Members can leave projects on those tables for maximum of 24 hours with appropriate Parking Permit.
  • Updating the member month-to-month sublease rates for Maker Village. Per the current lease with MMS:
   >Sublessor rent will be calculated at rates that are to be set by Makers Village Investors Group LLC (Landlord). These rents will be initially set at the signing of this contract, and hereafter be changed no more than 1 time per calendar year and must be preceded by at least a 90 day notice prior to the increase.

   >Landlord will work with all tenants to adjust space to accommodate any financial hardships this might cause. Changes to month-to-month lease rates will be discussed with Tenant Board of Directors at a public meeting prior to announcement to the membership.
* Preliminary discussion:
   * Parking lot is getting full. Raise long term rental space to provide more parking for members
   * Raise Vaults to equal vault rates at Lenox 
   * Raise tower rates to:
     * Lower level: $1.10
     * Higher level: $0.90
   * 250 sq ft feet cap (for graduated fees) will also apply to office tower

General discussion

  • Re-visit pay-back contributions for commercial users of Makerspace?
    • Area Champions to communicate with high equipment users regarding financial support of the area.
