Ron Melanz joined the Milwaukee Makerspace in February 2016. He works full-time as an aviation fuel technician at Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport, giving him an intimate familiarity with many types of commercial aircraft.

Ron, often referred to as Shark, is a Milwaukee native, born in West Allis and raised in the neighborhood of Johnson's Woods.
