Current Work
My silver jewelry is inspired by antique and medieval manuscripts, creating modern interpretations of medical and magical amulets. I current am working on or have completed a series of pieces from the following texts:
Unordered List Item Ancient Mesopotamian stone necklace texts - cuneiform tablets identifying strings of different stones to be used primarily as medical/magical amulets
Greek Magical Papyri (PGM) - a set of magical spells, hymns, and rituals recorded in ancient Greek from the 100 BCE - 400 CE
Picatrix - 11th century medieval Arabic astrological manuscript
I have been using 'Saw and solder' champleve enamel techniques to experiment with adding color.
I also like to make whatever strikes my fancy, usually experimenting with different construction techniques.
