Helpful Hint

  • * Four ways to contact a trainer for specific areas:
    • (1) See if their contact info is on the WIKI. If so, reach out directly to them.
    • (2) Post a message on the members only board requesting training. Put what area or machine you are requesting training for in the subject line. (e.g. I would like to be trained on the Tormach). In your message, include days and times you are available to be trained.
    • (3) Go to the weekly meetings (in person or virtually). Many of the trainers are at those meetings.
    • (4) Go to the specific area in Lennox. Many Champions and Trainers have their contact info posted in their areas.

Topics

    • Most regular events will begin in person with the drop in Covid cases. Please check for messages on the members only google group from the events' hosts.
    • Fusion 360: in person at Norwich on Mondays at 7 PM.

Safety Note

  • The woodshop area champion requests: please do not rip boards (cut with the grain) on the compound miter saw. He saw boards fly the other day.
  • The compound miter saws in both locations are designed for crosscuts (cutting across the grain)
  • If you need to make a rip cut, please use the table or band saws.

Rule and Regulation of the Week

  • The woodshop area champion reminds members to NOT leave projects (e.g. glue ups) on the table or work bench in the woodshop. We need these areas open for people actively working on projects in the woodshop.

Member Topics and Announcements

  • Next week's meeting is in-person at Lenox.
  • Tim C will be holding a 3D Printer repair class.
    • If interested, please post a message to the google group.

Post Meeting Reminders

  • Any interested new members, see a Board Member to discuss the sign-up process.
  • One On One Introductions of Members to Guests
  • Begin Tour
