• This week's helpful hint is from Board member Alden Hoot:
  • Never trust a wiring diagram you find on the internet! Where ever possible, take your own readings before disassembling any wiring.

• Events for 2021.
• Space Improvement: Sunday, November 28th 1-4 PM. Food from Jake and Faith (Sumo stew) and Mike T (Chili). Please bring dessert to share.

• When drilling a hole at the end of a long piece of wood, steel, or anything that can wound you: have the long end of the piece to your LEFT as you stand at the drill press.
• The chuck spins clockwise when drilling a hole. If the bit gets stuck in your material and the material spins with the bit, it will hit the post holding up the drill press, not your ribs.

• You must be checked out on every power tool / machine at the Makerspace prior to using it. Many of the power tools are a member's personal property that they are sharing with the membership.
• Although you may have used a lathe for 20 years, take the time to be trained on the specific lathe at the Space which you want to use.

* Carl S: FUSION 360 classes are now held at NORWICH (moving from Lenox) at 7 PM. Classes can be attended in person, or virtually (Carl will send you the link). Thank you Carl.
