What Did We Talk About
Project Updates
Kathy H. made a paper ornament using biodegradable paper made from stone.
Andy A. went to Pittsburgh for a Power Wheels racing event. He had the best time being an observer instead of a racer.
John O. got RFID implants in his hands for the Makerspace and his car.
Mike T. refurbished a lamp that his daughter found in a trash heap. It looks like an Adams family lamp. Perfect for the upcoming holiday.
Arnold C. replaced his computer screen with one from a different used computer.
Adrian will be helping with the Bay View Neighborhood Association Pumpkin Pavilion. He made special pumpkin carving knives for the event and his Jellyfish lamps will be featured there as well.
Voting will be taking place this month for secretary and president. Nominations have been opened.
Markus S. was nominated for president by Tim C. and it was seconded by Dan Luglio. Markus accepted the nomination.
Faith F. was nominated for secretary by Markus and it was seconded by Adrian Volden. Faith was absent.
Markus brought up renting offsite storage for Maker Faire items that get used once a year. This would be until we get annexed space in another location. (To be approved by the membership.)
The board would like to add money from the general funds to the Outreach area to replace what was used up for Maker Faire. (To be approved by the membership.)
Grinding aluminum on grinding wheels and with files is forbidden.
Tours were led by Jon H. and Tim C.
