What Did We Talk About
Project Updates
- Jay has been refurbishing a cardboard skull she bought at Michaels
- Lance made a Stargate, sized for cats out of PVC foam
- A member was looking for a source to get a pair of Doc Martens repaired
- Matt hiked over 500 miles of the Appalachian Trail, and will have pictures of his trip at Maker Faire
- Akai has made a new style of display stand out of acrylic to hold coasters. Could also be used for minatures, and he will have them on his Etsy page.
Guest Introductions
- Jake heard about us from his room mate Cameron, and he's interested in welding
- Cameron came to Doors Open, and has questions about his 3D printer and modifying it
- John (Rocky) is a retired millwright with quite a bit of experience, and is interested in CNC routing and woodwork
- Pat and Mike came down after his sister came to Doors Open, Pat doesn't know what he's interested in yet
- Mike came with Pat. They are both retired now.
- Ryan visited us at Chase, and has visited a few times. He is interested in joining. He's a police officer in the district and lives nearby. He's interested in woodworking.
- David works with Lance, and is interested in everything
- Blain owns a bookstore on KK in Bay View. He came to check out the space.
- Matthew found out about us from Cameron, he's interested in the intersection of art and electronics. He's a programmer.
- Jerry found out about us from a friend, and has built a straw bale house, art, crafting, quilts.
- Ryan is here for the second time, found us by an internet search. He's interested in wood working, and very interested in the blacksmithing area.
- Hannah knew about us at Chase, and is moving into the area.
Recognition for AWESOMENESS
- Lance recognizes everyone who helped clean the space or led tours during Doors Open Milwaukee over the weekend
- Keith recognized Brant for once again taking on organization of Doors Open
- Carl recognized Matthew and Tony for helping set up at Maker Faire today
- Jon helped ? put together a tool box and vault, and Tom who helped put on saddle bags
- Dan was recognized by a guest for giving tours during Doors Open
- Lexie recognized all the people working on projects who talked to guests during Doors Open
