• Using a handheld screwdriver in tight spaces can be very frustrating, especially when there isn’t enough room to hold the screw in place with your free hand.
• The solution: magnetize a screwdriver. Attach a small magnet to the shaft of your screwdriver. The magnetic magic will travel through the metal of the screwdriver, down to the business end, holding the screw right where you need it—with no hands.
• This trick works with other tools, too. Magnetize the head of a hammer to hold a nail, add a magnet to the metal bit in a power drill/driver to hold a screw……you get the idea.

• Events for 2021
• Next Space Improvement Day is scheduled for SATURDAY, JUNE 19th.
• Maker Fair scheduled for September 24-26. The MMS level of involvement is TBD. Fair being hosted by MSOE
• MMS to participate in the Bay View Gallery night on Friday, June 25th. Need members to help with set up, tear down and to give tours to visitors. Also a great spot to sell your projects. There is a sign up sheet on the WIKI.

• A number of members have shared: “when you are doing something for the first time you take the time to plan and when you execute, you are vigilant, very careful, and not in a hurry.
• You tend to be less safe when you are performing a repetitive task. You are less likely to focus on the details on #20 than you did on #1.
• Realize this when doing any repetitive task. Stay vigilant, don't hurry.

• Many thanks to members that take out the garbage, sawdust, metal shavings, etc.
• Even more thanks to those that put it in the correct dumpster.
• At both Lennox and Norwich, there is both a large GARBAGE dumpster and a smaller RECYCLING dumpster.
• Pls ensure you are dumping the bucket in the correct dumpster.
• We will work to improve signage on the dumpsters.

• Jeff Mann announced on Wednesdays, the Ceramics area will sponsor CERAMICS AND CERVEZAS.
  • The goal being to rebuild our ceramics community.
  • BYOB and enjoy.
• No heavy equipment in the newly paved parking lot for the next few months as the asphalt hardens.
• Carl S will be starting a new Fusion 360 class around Monday June 21st. Stay tuned for more info.

• Andrew made bread without a recipe. When asked how it turned out, he responded with remarkable honesty “it was ok”.
• Dan J and Tom G added 6 columns of pallet racking on the south wall by the garage door
• Kathy H made a beautiful, large dream catcher. The feathers were made on the laser cutter.
