Settings
- Print Envelope: 298mm x 275mm x 250mm (11.7“ x 10.8” x 9.8“)
- ABS Extruder Temperature: 230˚ to 235˚
- ABS Bed Temperature: 85˚
Software
Printrun
Printrun (sometimes known as 'Pronterface') is used to control the printer.
Note: Screen shots are from a previous version of Printrun. They will be updated soon.
SD Card
You can also print directly from an SD Card, without using Printrun. To do this you'll need to use Slic3r to create your G-code file and then copy it onto the SD Card.
Slic3r
Slic3r is used to generate G-code from your STL files. Use these configuration files from LulzBot.
Current Status
- June 2017: Not Operational. Needs the firmware upgraded to work with the new E3D V6 hotend and Titan extruder. Needs 12v to the hotend fan.
- June 2017: E3D V6 hotend installed with Titan extruder, donated from nonfunctional Solidoodle.

- 2014-08-15 - Fuse on RAMBO board blew, Tom Gr. replaced with resettable fuse

Notes
- You need to be checked out on the LulzBot TAZ before you use it! There are melty bits and motors that can crush things.
- The TAZ 3 is a RepRap and the recommended software is Slic3r and Printrun. Don't change this without talking to Pete P. or Matt J.
- If you've built and/or used a RepRap and Slic3r/Printrun before, training on the TAZ should be very easy. If you haven't used the software before, you'll need to get familiar with it.
- LulzBot suggests 230˚ for ABS, but in the initial testing 235˚ worked well for the Coex blue filament. YMMV. DO NOT set the extruder temperature to 240˚ or higher.You will destroy it!
- The TAZ is open source! Find the source files here.
- We plan to switch the Taz to use 1.75mm filament once we go through all the 3mm we currently have at the space.
